Setting Attribute Display Preferences
This tutorial will show you how to change editor preferences to control which attributes appear when you create a Form Element.
When creating Form Elements in the content pane, you're provided with a form field to specify a value for every possible attribute the element you're creating has.
With most elements, you're not likely to specify every attribute (especially seldom used or specialty attributes like Title, Access Key, Read Only, MIME type, etc.) so formArchitect gives you the option to remove certain attributes from the element creation form.
As an example, here's a "Add New Text Box" form from the content pane
That's a long list of attributes, several of which you probably have never (and never will) want to specify for a Text Box you create.
As an example, suppose that when you're creating your forms, you never set a Text Box to Disabled or Read Only, and never specify the Title attribute. We'll change the editor settings so when you create a new Text Box, those attributes no longer appear in the list.
Setting Editor Preferences
Login to your account and go to the admin pane. Select 'Obj Attributes' (under the Editor Settings heading) in the "Admin Options" menu
and you'll be presented with a list of Form Elements and their optional attributes. A check next to an attribute name indicates that attribute will appear as editable in the create element form on the content pane.
Uncheck any attributes you don't want to appear (Title, Read Only, and Disabled in our example) and click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of your form.
Now your "Add New Text Box" form in the content pane looks like this
To re-enable the display of the attributes we just removed, simply return to the admin pane, check the appropriate boxes, and save your changes.
